Jim Dale

Jim Dale is a partner of the firm in the Litigation group where his practice is devoted to labor and employment law. He routinely advises and represents some of Idaho's largest private employers on virtually every aspect of labor and employment law including employment discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, contract, wage and hour, and ERISA issues. Jim has also served as lead defense counsel on class and collective actions seeking recovery of unpaid wages. He also represents management in traditional labor disputes and provides counsel on union avoidance. Jim has handled numerous labor arbitrations addressing discharge, discipline, scope of work, and management rights.

Keelin Curran

Keelin Curran is a partner of the firm with over 20 years experience advising private and public employers on a range of complex employment issues, such as ADA accommodation, FMLA compliance, EEO and OFCCP compliance, employment contracts, personnel policies, wage and hour issues, union strategy issues, non-competition agreements, internal investigations, terminations and reductions in force. She provides training on appropriate workplace conduct and anti-harassment policies, performance management, and FMLA, ADA and wage and hour compliance. She represents employers in agency charges and employment litigation where she aims to get cases resolved or dismissed early and in a cost-effective manner, and go to trial if necessary.

Tony DeCristoforo

Tony DeCristoforo is a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment group.  Based in the firm’s Sacramento office, Tony focuses his practice on the representation of employers and supervisors in employment-related disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in administrative proceedings and arbitrations. Tony has extensive experience litigating wage and hour claims and defending employers in discrimination and sexual harassment lawsuits. He frequently advises employers on wage and hour issues, employment contracts, employee handbooks, noncompetition agreements  and statutory leave obligations.  Tony is admitted to practice in California.

Matt Durham

Matt Durham is a partner of Stoel Rives' Litigation and Employment Law groups. He represents clients in state and federal courts and administrative agencies in matters relating to employment discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, drug testing, leave, benefits and labor/occupational safety issues. He routinely advises clients on developing and implementing personnel policies and complying with state and federal employment laws. Matthew also represents clients in general civil litigation matters. He has also mediated employment disputes. Matt is ranked as a leading Utah Labor and Employment attorney by Chambers USA and by Best Lawyers in America. 

Victor Kisch

Victor Kisch is a partner of Stoel Rives LLP and chair of the Labor and Employment group, which includes approximately 40 attorneys in six states (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, California and Alaska).  Victor represents management and employers only, and he has specialized exclusively in labor and employment law for 23 years.  He has handled over 75 trials, including trials before juries, judges, arbitrators, administrative judges and hearing officers.  His practice focuses on wage and hour class actions and defending claims of discrimination, harassment, and wrongful discharge.  He also maintains an active practice in the area of trade secrets and in traditional labor law matters. Victor is one of five Oregon employment attorneys elected as a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers; in 2008-2009, he is ranked in the first tier of Oregon Labor and Employment attorneys by Chambers USA (2009) and for several years, he has been listed in Best Lawyers in America and “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell.  Victor is admitted to practice in Oregon, Washington and California.

Dan Mueller

Dan Mueller is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment group. He has extensive experience advising employers and government officials on matters concerning labor and employment law, including compliance with the National Labor Relations Act and state and federal equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination laws. Before joining Stoel Rives, Dan held several positions with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in Portland and Washington, D.C.

Tim O'Connell

Tim O'Connell is a partner of the firm in the Labor and Employment and Telecommunications law sectors. His practice includes collective bargaining, unfair labor practice and representation proceedings before the NLRB and public sector agencies, labor arbitrations, equal employment and discrimination cases before administrative agencies and courts, wrongful discharge litigation, wage and hour counseling and litigation, and general personnel management. He has also been actively involved in the rulemaking process, both drafting and negotiating new rules and leading litigation challenging agency action. Tim is ranked as a leading Washington Labor and Employment attorney by Chambers USA and by Best Lawyers in America.

Amy Joseph Pedersen

Amy Joseph Pedersen is a partner of Stoel Rives LLP, practicing in the Labor and Employment group. She focuses exclusively on employment litigation and counseling, primarily on the employer’s side of a dispute but, on occasion, also represents executives and executive groups.  Amy has substantial trial experience in state and federal courts, as well as in administrative proceedings and arbitration, in all areas of employment law including discrimination and wage class actions.  She also has particular expertise in noncompetition and nonsolicitation agreement negotiation, drafting and enforcement litigation and workplace investigations.  Amy is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington.  Amy is ranked in the first band of Oregon labor and employment attorneys by Chambers USA (2009) and is listed in Best Lawyers in America.

Jim Shore

Jim Shore is a partner of Stoel Rives, LLP, where he works out of the Seattle office. Jim’s practice is exclusively focused on representing businesses and entrepreneurs in labor and employment law, with an emphasis on restrictive covenant/trade secret issues, unfair competition, traditional labor law (employer dealings with unions), harassment and discrimination litigation, assisting employers with day-to-day employment advice and policies, and issues related to corporate restructuring and acquisitions. Jim actively practices before federal and state courts and agencies throughout the western United States, and is an active member of the Washington, California and Oregon bars. Jim was named by Washington CEO Magazine as one of the top 10 labor and employment attorneys in Washington State, ranked as a leading Washington Labor and Employment attorney by Chambers USA (2008 and 2009), and by his peers as a Washington “Super Lawyer” in Washington Law and Politics Magazine. Melanie Osborne

Melanie Osborne is of counsel in the Labor and Employment section of the Litigation practice group. She has experience with a broad range of issues, including policy development and enforcement, recruitment, dispute resolution, training, compliance, compensation systems and employee counseling. Melanie has represented ANCSA corporations, tribal governments and tribal health organizations regarding employment law, litigation, federal contracting and corporate matters in state and federal courts and before administrative proceedings. Before joining Stoel Rives, Melanie served as Vice President and General Counsel (2009-2010) and as Human Resources Director (2007-2009) at Ahtna, Inc. where she managed the company's litigation, employee benefits, insurance and workers' compensation, risk management, ethics and compliance, safety and records management programs.

Ryan Gibson

Ryan Gibson is an associate in the firm's Labor and Employment group and practices in the Portland office.  He represents employers in litigation in state and federal courts and in administrative agency proceedings. He has experience involving all manner of employment-related issues including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, family leave, wage and hour, noncompetition agreements, and traditional labor law.  Ryan is admitted to practice in Oregon.

Karin Jones

Karin Jones is an associate in the Labor and Employment group. She has experience in a variety of civil matters with a primary focus on employment law and insurance defense and has represented agencies in litigation before state commissions as well as state and federal courts.

 

 

Meghan Kelly

Meghan Kelly is an associate in the Litigation group. She represents both individuals and corporationsin a wide range of litigation matters, including white collar criminal defense, alleged business torts, contractual breaches, improper employment actions, professional negligence, products liability, and assisting clients with government investigations. Meghan is admitted to practice in Alaska.

 

PK Runkles-Pearson

PK Runkles-Pearson represents employers and managers in litigation and before administrative agencies and counsels employers on employment issues. She has experience, among other things, in employment discrimination and harassment, workplace torts, wage and hour issues, noncompetition agreements, trade secret matters, and preparing employee handbooks and policies. P.K. also has experience in Oregon and federal appellate practice.  She is admitted to practice in Oregon and New York.

Jennifer Reinhardt

  Jennifer Reinhardt's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation including contractual disputes, employment disputes, insurance coverage matters and products liability. She has experience representing businesses and individuals in a variety of state and federal court actions. Prior to joining Stoel Rives, Jennifer was an associate at Meuleman Mollerup LLP, Boise (2007), a law clerk to the Honorable Linda Copple Trout, Idaho Supreme Court, Boise (2006-2007), a deputy prosecutor for Ada County Prosecutor's Office, Boise (2005); and a summer associate and winter clerk for Stoel Rives LLP, Boise, (2004-2005).

Emily Stubbs

Emily Stubbs is an associate practicing in the Litigation  and Labor and Employment groups. She represents clients in state and federal courts in matters relating to discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, worker's compensation, employment at will, and wage and hour matters. She also represents businesses and individuals in a variety of civil and commercial disputes, and counsels clients on complex commercial litigation matters, including commercial contracts, business torts, real estate, and intellectual property. Emily is admitted to practice in Utah.

Cameron Ward

Cameron Ward is an associate in the Litigation practice group, Trial section. He represents clients in state and federal courts on general commercial litigation matters. Cameron has served as a clerk for the Honorable Justice Jill Parrish of the Utah Supreme Court, for the Union Pacific Railroad Corporation, and as a student clerk for the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Utah.
